Mandatory Equipment


Players must wear the full equipment identified on the picture (to the right) for all practices and games.

Coaches must wear helmets at all practices.

Mouthguards are mandatory for U9 to U21 Junior C (except for goalies).

Coaches should ensure compliance.

U7 - 1 Timbits jersey (for practice, tournaments, games)
U9-U18 - 2 jerseys
U11 - McDonald's sponsors one set of jerseys and socks.
Jerseys must be returned with original hangers.
Parents accept responsibility during registration, to pay $125/jersey if excessively damaged or unclean. Payable by May 15 (non-payment affects membership).

No name bars are allowed on Trails West or West Calgary House League jerseys.
Third jerseys require approval from the TWHA Apparel Coordinator and VP Operations if used in a Hockey Calgary sanctioned game. They must include the STOP or RESPECT logo per Hockey Calgary Regulation 8.
Corporate logos are not allowed on TWHA jerseys or approved third jerseys.
Optional Practice/Third JerseyTWHA practice jerseys available in 4 colours at Adrenalin Source for Sports.Optional jerseys are team-funded.
SocksU7 - 1 pair team colours
U9 - 1 pair white game socks
U11 - 1 pair red or white (alternates yearly)
U13-U18 - 1 pair white game socks (worn with away jerseys)
U15-U18 (2024-25) - Must wear red game socks with home jersey; red socks available at Play It Again Sports (WEsthills)

Extra Socks - U9 & U13 available from JOG Sports ($30/pair) via TWHA Administrator; U11, U15, U18 available from Play It Again Sports.
Teams decide on individual or group socks purchases.
PucksEach team receives 20 TWHA logo game pucks.U7-U9 teams must use blue pucks for all practices and games.
Goalie Equipment (U7-U9)No goalie equipment required for U7.
TWHA provides U9 goalie equipment.
U9 equipment must be returned in good condition and in the provided bag at season's end.
Team ApparelTWHA-branded apparelo available through Adrenalin Source for Sports with a 10% discount for members (excludes sale, clearance, and custom products).Discount must be requested at checkout; no retroactive discounts.

2024 - Printable Jersey Care Instructions

Transport: Avoid placing jerseys in hockey bags; use garment bags to prevent damage. Allow to dry completely before storing.
Damage: Any rips or tears must be repaired before returning jerseys, or a fee will apply.
Use: Game jerseys cannot be worn during practices. 
Respect: Take care of your jersey, as another player will wear it next season.
C's and A's: Must be single stich only (no adhesives) and removed carefully before returning jerseys.

Washing Instructions

  • Wash separately or with similar colours (white jerseys only with whites).
  • Turn inside out, use cold watern and no bleach.
  • Hang to dry (do not machine dry).


Return Reminder
Keep hangers in garment bags for jersey return - do not give them to players. 

Jersey Condition
Below are before and after photos of a TWHA game jersey that was worn for a full season by a Midget body checking player. Use these as a reference for how your jersey should look upon return. Normal wear is expected, but rips, tears, snags, stains, or puck marks will not be accepted.
